We LOVE baseball! My family and I are HUGE Cubs fans (Go Cubbies!). Angie and her family LOVE the Red Sox! Well guess WHAT?????!!!
These teams are battling it out in a 3 game series this weekend; Fri-Sun at Fenway Park in Boston. Both teams have a similar record (Cubs 12-9, Red Sox 11-9). It should be some awesome baseball to watch!!! I figure if Angie and I can make it through this weekend, we can make it through anything. 🙂 Here’s some cool info about us to show why we love our teams.
Fun Facts About Karli and the Cubs:
Jud (my husband) has been a Cubs fan since he was little. He has shown us the light, and now we’re all fans! Jud keeps our wardrobes filled with Cubs gear too. 🙂
My oldest son Jaxton LOVES Rizzo!!!! He got his autograph this past spring at a game…it was a major milestone in his life! 🙂
I went to Wrigley Field for the first time last year, it was truly a one of a kind experience! Made me love the Cubs even more.
My family goes to Cubs spring training every year in AZ. We LOVE it!!
Jud was able to attend game 5 of the World Series at Wrigley field vs the Cleveland Indians.
There might be a player or two I have a slight plutonic crush on, you know who you are! (KB, Rizzo, Baez….ok there’s some good looking Cubs!)
Jud is a walking Cubs fact machine (and baseball in general for that matter). He makes watching games so much fun!!! With the way he talks to the umpires, you feel like you’re ACTUALLY at the game!! 🙂 Who needs tickets anyway? 🙂
Fun Facts About Angie and the Red Sox
The Red Sox broke the curse of the Great Bambino (when they sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees) in 2004 and won the World Series, just a few months after Chad and Angie were married.
Their first born is named Boston
Jud surprised Chad and took him to Fenway Park in August of 2014 for the Red Sox vs Yankees series; Fenway Park is magical.
Jud and Chad went to Wrigley Field in 2015 to watch the Cubs sweep the Giants. Wrigley Field and Fenway Park are two iconic ballparks with tons of history; their favorite parks for sure.
Big Papi (David Ortiz) is Angie’s family’s all-time favorite Red Sox player (he just retired last year) 🙁
Big Papi’s son, D’Angelo, threw Angie a baseball during batting practice before a Red Sox vs Angels game in Anaheim last year. Whoop whoop!!
Angie will make her Fenway Park debut in 2 weeks! Stay tuned for an amazing post on that one!
**On a final note I have to add: I love the Red Sox, just love the Cubbies more. 🙂 It will be exciting to see who wins the series; you know we’ll be watching!!! Which team are you rooting for???!!
