Seriously what did we do before dry shampoo???!! I can’t imagine my life without it. I save so much time because of this awesome goodness in a bottle. There are so many brands to choose from and I’ve tried several. I have to be picky because I have very dark hair so ANYTHING I spray on it will show up. I need something that sprays on evenly, feels light, isn’t stiff (moldable), and smells good!
My go-to dry shampoo lately has been the Dove brand: Volume and Fullness. On the bottle it says at the bottom “refreshes by instantly removing oil, for clean hair with volume and fulness” and it’s true! Dove has given me very minimal excess residue. Every once in a while it will show up a little thicker than normal, but it doesn’t happen often and I just have to massage it into my roots especially well. 🙂 I love the smell of it, very refreshing and clean. I would recommend this brand to anyone! (light or dark haired). Very affordable from AMAZON.
Just a couple days ago I spotted dry shampoo with a dark tint to it!!! I had to try it of course so I bought it. It’s a brand called Batiste with a hint of color. I wasn’t familiar with this brand, but it claimed to be the number one dry shampoo in the UK and didn’t disappoint. It’s on sale right now on Amazon. I have used it for the last 2 days and LOVE everything about it! The smell, the way it sprays, how light it feels…EVERYTHING. If you have dark hair, this is the dry shampoo you need to get! It does cost a little bit more than Dove, but you get 1.73 oz of more product. The less you wash you hair, the less your color will fade. Yay for the dark-haired ladies!!!!:) Whoop!!
Batiste also sells a variety of dry shampoos that would be cool to try. They have a version for blondes, different scents, and options for several hair types. You can check them out on AMAZON and let us know what you think!
Guys, I didn’t forget about you! I did look up dry shampoos for you from a mens health article. 🙂 This was one of the shampoos they recommended and you can find it on AMAZON. I don’t know much more than that. I’m sure you men have been thinking about this for a while now, and I’m glad I could help you out. 🙂
If you’ve never tried dry shampoo, you should. I used to think my hair would be WAY too oily to last longer than 1-2 days without washing, but dry shampoo has proven me wrong. For new users, here’s some basic instructions: Shake the can first, hold 8-12 inches away from roots (the oily spots), and spray the shampoo as needed. After spraying, massage the roots to blend the shampoo and help it absorb the oils. Then style! Directions are on the back of the bottle if you forget.:)
