This week we’re sharing a few of our favorite holiday recipes, and today I wanted to share the yummy sausage dip recipe that we love! Now you might be thinking that sausage dip doesn’t really make you think “Christmas”, but let me explain. 😉 Something we often do on Christmas Eve for food is serve appetizers and finger foods, like yummy dips, cheese and meat trays, etc. So this sausage dip is typically on the menu. (And it would be perfect for New Year’s Eve, if you’re thinking that far ahead!!) It’s easy too, so that’s a bonus!
Here’s what you need:
2 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 lb. ground sausage, as mild or spicy as you like
1 can green chilis
7 oz. sour cream
1 green pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
Fry the sausage, green pepper, and onion. Transfer to a crockpot and add the rest of the ingredients. Keep on low and stir frequently. Optional: When ready to serve, chop 1 tomato and put on top. Serve with tortilla chips.
That’s it!! It’s super easy, which I love, especially this time of year when there is so much going on. I hope you enjoy this sausage dip too!!
