It’s finally here—the full reveal of our laundry room makeover! What started as a basic space has completely transformed into one of my favorite (and most functional) rooms in our home. From statement flooring to clever storage, every inch now reflects a style I love —and we did it all with a whole lot of DIY!

Let’s Start With the Floor

The checkerboard pattern changed the vibe of the room. I painted it myself using a paint kit and it gave the room that instant wow factor. If you want to try it in your own space, I shared the full step-by-step in this post: How to Paint a Checkerboard on Your Floor

It was easier than I thought—and budget-friendly too!

Pretty and Practical Upgrades

When I first started this makeover I tackled the goal to hide the ugly stuff (like laundry hookups) without losing access. We came up with a smart solution that adds function and charm: How to Hide Laundry Hookups

Let me just say—this little DIY made a big impact. Everything is tucked away but still easy to reach when needed. I didn’t keep this look when I updated the cabinetry, but if you are looking for a way to hide your laundry hookups this a great easy solution. I am planning on adding a new curtain though; I just need to find the right fabric.

Elegant Function: The Cabinetry & Utility Sink

Let’s talk storage and style. Natural wood cabinets paired with a deep black quartzite countertop and backsplash gave this space a luxe feel.

The wall-mounted brass faucet, paired with vintage-inspired accessories, adds just enough charm that just pulls the room together. The cabinet knobs bring it all together. I love that Signature Hardware even has a wide variety of product finishes to choose from with picking the cabinet knob backplates.

Storage Goals: Wall-to-Wall Cabinetry

This full-height cabinetry wall is a storage dream come true. It hides all the cleaning supplies, laundry extras, and even seasonal items we rotate throughout the year. Plus, the matte brass hardware keeps everything feeling elevated.

The Wallpaper That Ties It All Together

This floral wallpaper may be subtle in color, but it adds so much texture and depth. It wraps the room in warmth and feels like the finishing touch that elevates it from utility room to designer-worthy nook.

This Laundry Room is Now a Space I Actually Want to Be In! It’s proof that with a little creativity and a few DIY projects, even the most overlooked room in the house can become a favorite.
