When you’re designing a kitchen or upgrading your kitchen appliances, choosing the right ones can make a huge difference in how your kitchen looks and functions. Honestly, there are SO many things I love about my kitchen appliances! And when you’re investing in new appliances, the features matter. If you’re in the market for new appliances, here are some details about mine and why I love them (besides the fact that they’re BEAUTIFUL).
Choosing Kitchen Appliances
When it comes to picking out kitchen appliances, there’s more to consider than just looks. While aesthetics are important, functionality should be a top priority since these appliances will play a major role in your daily routine. Whether you’re upgrading an existing kitchen or starting fresh, it’s essential to think about your specific cooking habits, the size and layout of your kitchen, and the features that will make life easier. From energy efficiency and smart technology to storage capacity and ease of cleaning, finding appliances that meet your needs will make all the difference in creating a kitchen that’s both beautiful and highly functional. I always shop at RC Willey for my appliance needs.
Refrigerator
One of my favorite things about my fridge is how sleek and stylish it is, blending perfectly with my cabinet wall. I specifically wanted a fridge with a minimalist exterior, so I love that the water dispenser and ice maker are on the inside—no bulky hardware on the outside! It’s perfect for maintaining that clean, streamlined look I was going for.
But looks aside, this fridge is also highly functional. It has adjustable, climate-controlled drawers, which are amazing for keeping fruits, veggies, and deli meats fresh. I feel like I’m wasting less food because everything stays fresher for longer.
Hood Vent
My hood vent has quickly become one of my kitchen MVPs. The fan is powerful and does such a good job filtering steam and cooking grease that we’ve made a habit of turning it on automatically every time we cook or bake. It helps reduce that cooking film that can end up on surfaces, and it’s going to be a game-changer for keeping my stone backsplash looking fresh. (I’m planning to seal it soon, but in the meantime, I feel good knowing the vent is helping protect it.)
Double Oven and Range
Now, let’s talk about the double oven. It has already proven to be a lifesaver in so many ways—not just for baking cookies! I love being able to cook two things at once, at different temperatures. It’s especially handy for weeknight dinners when I need to bake chicken nuggets for the kids while roasting vegetables or preparing something else. Even better? It bakes evenly, even when both ovens are running at the same time. My kids even love that they can each bake their own thing without having to wait.
I also love the range on top of this double oven. The range is often the centerpiece of the kitchen, and finding one that combines both style and performance is key. I love the versatility of my range, which allows for precise temperature control whether I’m simmering sauces or searing meat. The large cooktop offers plenty of space for multiple pots and pans, making it perfect for preparing big family meals.
Dishwasher
My dishwasher is so versatile, and I appreciate its ability to handle everything from delicate glassware to heavy-duty pots and pans. But do you know what I’ve come to love even more? How SMOOTHLY the drawers glide open and closed. It’s one of those things I didn’t realize I needed until I had it, but now I can’t go back. I’ve realized that all my past dishwashers weren’t quite as high-quality as I thought.
When you’re designing a kitchen, it’s easy to get caught up in the aesthetic—don’t get me wrong, I did too—but don’t forget about the little things that make daily life easier. These kitchen appliances have made cooking, cleaning, and meal prep so much more enjoyable for me, and I can’t recommend them enough!
